Face it the aficans who steal the money do not want it to change. As for teaching african children - you pay for it - utter crap - those children dont learn enough to get a job - because there aint any. To be totally harsh its like religion - just entertainment for them. i know i have worked in nigeria 3 times for a total of 18 months. Best thing - stop all aid now. People will die but maybe africa will learn to look after itself and the first to fall will be the dictators.

I just finished reading your description about wha...

I just finished reading your description about what's really happening in Africa, and wound up feeling extremely angry at the government officials there, as well as very sad for the people in a no win situation. Ever since the Darfur situation, I have been donating money for the cause to different agencies here in the states, but now I'm wondering where that money goes. I have always felt so sorry for the people there, and their situations never seem to improve. Now I know why. It seems like in order to fix the problems, the governments need to be replaced with more honest men who want to really help their people, rather than destroy them. I feel like my blood pressure has gone up just thinking about all this, and not being able to do much to help. Would it be alright to pass this email on to friends and family members? Let me know. <BR/>I also want to mention that you did a great job on this article, sounds very professional. You guys could become photo journalists! Hope to see you both sometime in the future. I thought you wanted to settle in MExico when you're finished with all of this traveling, is that still on? bien viaje, barbara y fred
